The most effective teams are the Emotionally Intelligent ones, and E.I. is a significant factor in determining overall performance.

From someone using your mug to being passed up for promotion, your work life can play havoc on your emotions. However, we rarely see ‘emotion’ and ‘business’ in the same sentence, and it’s unusual to talk about our feelings at work. Do you bottle it up, feel overwhelmed or struggle with how to communicate your feelings? With 1/3 of our lives spent at work, we need to learn how to balance our emotions in the workplace.

A recent UK CIPD survey found that four in ten employees experienced an interpersonal conflict at work. Such disagreements can make us feel frustrated and undervalued, and these negative emotions can influence how our mind perceives problems, making us reactive. In time, they lead to lowered workplace satisfaction, motivation, and performance and can also spill over to other aspects of our life – bringing our work stress home.

Emotional intelligence is a skill that can be developed. In our session, we will teach you how to gain emotional clarity when faced with conflicts at work. Build stronger connections with colleagues by developing empathy and group efficacy. Show up to your emotions and be intentional in how you react. Gain control of how you feel when interacting with difficult characters and understand why some people drain you. Learn tools to gain the emotional freedom to detach from what’s thrown at you with awareness, self-acceptance and clear-sightedness. Find balance and stability with emotional agility.

Your people will learn:

  • Acknowledge and accept emotions
  • Learn to use emotional agility to foster better relationships
  • Understand the underlying motivators that shape the dynamics of our interactions
  • Learn to remain focused, detached, and emotionally stable when dealing with complex social interactions at work
