Translating new science into transformational outcomes for my clients
Stoicism & existential philosophy
Expert negotiator for the BBC News; long-term constitutional advisor to Queen Elizabeth the Second
BIO
Xenia specialises in coaching psychology – an avant-garde area of the psychological sciences.
Her capacity as a psychologist is built on a 20-year strong foundation of working for the BBC, Christie’s Auction House, Bloomberg and at Buckingham Palace. Xenia has held high impact global roles in negotiation, research, government policy and foreign affairs. A recognised international negotiator, she was one of the first women to be awarded Fellowship status by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in 2008 for her successful track record of negotiation.
Xenia’s own approach to working with organisations and private clients aims for insights and transformational outcomes. It addresses the key spheres of a human life: biology, psychological states, societal influences on how we show up, and personal mindsets. Xenia is adamant that one’s personal philosophy – a “mindset” is key to getting the best out of the ride along the career-life journey. Her own philosophical grounding in existential and Stoic philosophies helped overcome anxiety and find courage when working in the areas of civil unrest across the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa for the BBC News or delivering consistent service as a trusted advisor to Queen Elizabeth the Second. Having graduated with a law degree from University of London and a postgraduate degree in International Mediation & Negotiation from Queen Mary School of Law, Xenia is not a stranger to handling complex legal issues, globally, at a short notice.
Working at the frontiers of coaching psychology also requires a lot of courage and resolve in understanding what helps clients build sustainable careers while staying healthy and well in the context of complexity each of us is facing today. Xenia is an expert in neurodiversity and building inclusive prosocial environments where for all manners of thinking and feeling about life are welcome. She first became interested in the field when studying behavioural sciences, social and evolutionary psychology. She subsequently pursued scientific research into decision-making, personal philosophies, personality neurobiology, authentic living and coaching for neurodivergent adults.
